Dario Melnjak is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a left back for Hajduk Split football club. This talented 30-year-old football star began his career in the lower tier with Nedeljanec and moved to Croatian First League club Slaven Belupo at the beginning of 2013. After that, he went to Belgian club Sporting Lokeren for three seasons and then signed for Azerbaijan Premier League club Neftçi on loan. Finally, on September 23, 2021, Melnjak signed a one-year contract with Croatian club Hajduk Split, with an option for another two years. At the beginning of this year, Melnjak extended his contract for two years, with the new deal ending in mid-2024.
Melnjak is an important member of his club Hajduk, which is currently in the SuperSport Croatian Football Cup quarterfinals, along with Slaven Belupo, Rudeš, Bijelo Brdo, Lokomotiva, Osijek, and Šibenik. The last match of the round will be played by Split and Dinamo on February 14, 2023. In other words, Hajduk players are well on their way to defending their title as winners of the SuperSport Croatian Football Cup.
When it comes to his international career, Melnjak made his Croatia national team debut on June 11, 2019, in a friendly match against Tunisia.
