Denis Kolinger is a professional football player who plays as a defender for First Romanian League team CFR Cluj.
Kolinger was born in Germany, but moved to Croatia when he was three months old. His career started in the Jaska football club, and after that, at the age of 13, he went to the Zagreb football academy. He debuted for the senior team in the 2011/12 season, becoming a first-team regular in the following season. In the 2015/16 season, this promising player left Zagreb and signed a four-year contract with Lokomotiva football club. On January 15, 2021, Kolinger moved to Danish Superliga club Vejle Boldklub on a three-year deal.
Of course, Kolinger has had a successful international career. He was a part of the Croatian youth international team in the U16, U17, U18 and U19 categories, but refused a call-up to the Croatia U21 national football team in August 2014. He said that he would like to seek German nationality and play for Germany. However, in early 2015, he changed his mind and rejoined the Croatia U21 team in March 2015. He made his senior debut for Croatia in May 2017, playing in a friendly match against Mexico.
Kolinger is now on a contract in Vejle until the summer of 2025. However, he is currently on loan at CFR Cluj, and his current market value is 500 thousand euros.
