Amina Kajtaz is a young, beautiful and extremely talented Croatian swimmer. Before 2022 she represented Bosnia and Herzegovina, but this year she decided to represent Croatia. Earlier this year, Amina stated that the continuation of her career under the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was questionable due to a lack of financial resources and that the solution was to move to a country that offered her better conditions.
The fact that she decided to take up swimming at an early age is thanks to her mother, who was a national champion in the former Yugoslavia and passed on her love of swimming to Amina, while her father was a professional soccer player. During her professional career, she participated in numerous competitions, but her preferred swimming technique is the dolphin.
At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she competed in the women's 100-meter butterfly. This year she represented Croatia at the European Championships in Rome, finishing 12th in the 200 m butterfly.
She also changed swimming clubs. She was part of Zagreb Mladost, but is now in Kantrida.
Most recently, she participated in the 2022 FINA World Swimming Championships in the 25-metre pool, held in Berlin, and achieved another remarkable result. After finishing 7th and setting a Croatian record in the 200m butterfly (2:09.59), she finished 17th in the 100m butterfly with a new Croatian record (59.11). Besides Amina, two other representatives of Kantrida Swimming Club competed.
Amina also holds the title of Miss Sport 2020, she has a master's degree in business administration and is a professor of physical education. She is also a part of our DrLuigi family and enjoys the quality of our medical footwear in the comfort of her home.
